The Chrysler Traveler Series C26 was an upper middle class passenger car manufactured by Chrysler in Detroit in the 1940 model year. As the most simply equipped eight-cylinder car, it was added to the New Yorker , Saratoga and Highlander model series , with which it shared all of the technology.

The car had a side-controlled 8-cylinder in-line engine with 5,301 cm³ displacement, which delivered 135 bhp (99 kW) power. A higher compression engine with 143 bhp (105 kW) was also available on request. As with the predecessor, the rear wheels were driven by a single-plate dry clutch and a four-speed gearbox with center shift. There was only a limited number of bodies, a 2-door and a 4-door sedan, as well as two coupés with 3 or 6 seats.

Of the four series mentioned, 17,600 copies were made. How many of them were travelers is not known.
