The Chrysler Series 60 was a car of the middle class , the Chrysler in Detroit produced in model year 1927th It was added to the larger six-cylinder model 70 series .
The car had a side-controlled 6-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of 2,953 cm³, which delivered 54 bhp (40 kW) of power. The rear wheels were driven via a single-disc dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox with center shift. All four wheels were hydraulically braked as standard. Seven different bodies were offered, which corresponded to those of the four-cylinder model 50 series .
In 1928 the model was called Chrysler Series 62 without any major changes. On request, a more powerful engine with higher compression was available, which delivered 60 bhp (44 kW).
The production figures of the 60 series are not known, the 62 series was built 64,136 times. In the 1929 model year, the revised 65 series replaced the 62 series.
