Colton Sissons (born November 5, 1993 in North Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League since September 2012 and has played for them since October 2013 on the position of the center .

Career

Sissons first played in the British Columbia Hockey League from 2009 to 2010 during his junior years . He then worked from 2010 for three years for the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League . These had received his playing rights in the summer of 2010 from league rivals Saskatoon Blades . Following his second WHL season, the striker was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2012 in the second round in 50th place by the Nashville Predators from the National Hockey League and a few months later already signed. Sissons subsequently ran for a year in the WHL for the Rockets before he finally switched to the professional field in September 2013.

In his rookie season , the attacker played primarily for Nashville's farm team , the Milwaukee Admirals , in the American Hockey League . He also made his NHL debut and was active in 17 games for the Predators. After Sissons had completely spent the 2014/15 season in the AHL, he made his comeback in the squad of the NHL team the following season. His stakes in this game year were almost evenly divided between the NHL and AHL. With the start of the 2016/17 season, Sissons established himself in the NHL squad and reached the Stanley Cup final with the team at the end of the season, but lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins there .

In July 2019, Sissons signed a new seven-year contract in Nashville for a total salary of $ 20 million.
