Career
Carr spent his junior time with the start of the 2007/08 season with the St. Albert Steel in the Alberta Junior Hockey League , for which he was active until the year 2009/10 before for a half season in which he British Columbia Hockey League to the Powell River Kings changed. In the summer of 2010, the striker then enrolled at Union College , which he had previously given an oral confirmation. The 18-year-old Canadian, who was not included in the NHL Entry Draft , then played for the next four years alongside his studies for the college team in ECAC Hockey , a division in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association . The attacker completed four successful years at Union College. Among other things, he won the division championship twice with the team in 2012 and 2013 and even the national college championship in 2014. In addition, Carr has received numerous awards, but it ultimately for the franchises of the National Hockey League made interesting after they had previously ignored him.
In April 2014, the much-advertised free agent signed a two-year contract with the Canadiens de Montréal , who used him in their farm team Hamilton Bulldogs in the American Hockey League at the beginning of the 2014/15 season . In his first professional season, Carr was the most dangerous rookie in the league after scoring 24 goals. After the winger began the 2015/16 season with Montréal's new AHL cooperation partner, the St. John's IceCaps , he was appointed to the Canadiens' NHL squad for the first time in December 2015. By the end of the season he had played 23 games and was also part of the regular squad the following year.
After four years in Montréal, his contract was not extended after the end of the 2017/18 season, so the attacker joined the Vegas Golden Knights as a free agent in July 2018 . There he spent the season with the exception of six games for Vegas in the AHL with the Chicago Wolves farm team . His 71 points scorer in 52 missions gave him the Les Cunningham Award as the most valuable player in the league at the end of the season . In addition, Carr was appointed to the AHL First All-Star Team .
In July 2019, Carr joined the Nashville Predators again as a free agent .
