Dürrenhofe ( Lower Sorbian Dwóry ) is a district of the municipality of Märkische Heide in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . Until it was incorporated into Märkische Heide on October 26, 2003, Dürrenhofe was an independent municipality administered by the Märkische Heide office.
location
Dürrenhofe is located on the border with the Unterspreewald , about eleven kilometers northeast of the city of Lübben . Surrounding villages are Kuschkow in the north, Gröditsch in the northeast, Krugau in the east, Biebersdorf in the southeast, the Lübben district of Börnichen in the south, Schlepzig in the west and the district of Neu Lübbenau of the community of Unterspreewald in the northwest.
Dürrenhofe is on the county road K 6122. The federal road 179 runs about three kilometers north of the town center , three kilometers south of the state road L 42, which connects the village with Lübben and Schlepzig.
history
Dürrenhofe was first mentioned in 1426 under the name Dornhave . The place name describes a farm on arid ground that brings little income. In 1450 the place was called Dorenhafe . In 1844 Dürrenhofe had 261 residents who lived in 41 buildings. From an administrative point of view, the village belonged to the Lübben Rent Office and was church parish to Krugau.
Dürrenhofe used to belong to the Kingdom of Prussia . There the village was from 1816 at the latest in the district of Lübben in the administrative district of Frankfurt . On July 25, 1952, the Dürrenhofe community was assigned to the newly formed Lübben district in the Cottbus district . After the fall of the Wall , Dürrenhofe was initially in the Lübben district and on November 2, 1992 joined the Office of Märkische Heide . In the course of the Brandenburg district reform of December 6, 1993, the community was assigned to the Dahme-Spreewald district . On October 26, 2003 Dürrenhofe was merged with 17 other communities to form the new community of Märkische Heide and the office was dissolved.
