Klein Leine , Małe Linje in Lower Sorbian , is a district of the municipality of Märkische Heide in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg . Until it was incorporated into Märkische Heide on October 26, 2003, Klein Leine was an independent municipality administered by the Märkische Heide office. Klein Leine is located in the official settlement area of the Sorbs / Wends .
location
Klein Leine is located in Lower Lusatia north of the Spreewald . The city of Lübben is about ten kilometers away as the crow flies. Surrounding villages are large leash in the north of the municipality Schwieloch belonging district victory needle in the northeast of the municipality Spreewaldheide belonging district Waldow in the East, the New Zaucher districts Caminchen the south and Briesensee in the southwest, Biebersdorf the west and Dollgen in the northwest.
State road 444 runs through Klein Leine from Lübben to Groß Leine. The federal highways 87 and 320 are each about two kilometers northwest and north of Klein Leine.
history
Klein Leine was first mentioned in a document in 1423 with the spelling "Cleynen Line". The name comes from the Sorbian language and describes the location on a lake. To the west of the village is the Klein Leiner See .
Following the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , Klein Leine came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 . There the village was in the district of Lübben in the administrative district of Frankfurt . On July 25, 1952, Klein Leine was assigned to the newly formed Lübben district in the Cottbus district . After the fall of the Wall , Klein Leine was initially in the Lübben district and was assigned to the Dahme-Spreewald district as part of the Brandenburg district reform on December 6, 1993 . On October 26, 2003, Klein Leine was merged with 17 other communities to form the new community of Märkische Heide .

Groß Leine-Klein Leine wind farm
In 2009, the Groß Leine-Klein Leine wind farm went into operation in Klein Leine . The wind farm is located in the northern part of the district of small rope to the L 444. It consists of eight plants of the type Vestas V90-2MW with a nominal output of 16 MW and is supported by the Thüga operated AG.
