GDR boxing championships in 1988
The GDR boxing championships were held for the 40th time in 1988 and took place from December 7th to 11th in the Erwin-Panndorf -Halle in Gera . 126 boxers took part in the title fights and determined the champions in twelve weight classes. Boxing took place in Bad Blankenburg and Jena up to the quarter-finals and in Leipzig until the semi-finals . With Andreas Zülow , Henry Maske and Ulli Kaden , three boxers defended their title from the previous year.
