The yellow of the egg (hit parade)
The yellow from the egg is a hit parade of the German private radio broadcaster radio ffn , which has been broadcast annually at Easter since 1991 .
history
From 1991 to 2017 the annual "Easter hit parade" The Yellow from the Egg took place from Holy Saturday to Easter Monday . During this period, the radio station played 750 hits that were voted by the listeners. On the evening of the respective Easter Monday until 2015 there was a closing party at radio ffn, at which the last 20 tracks were played. In 2016 the party was moved to Lastrup and in 2017 to Bovenden . Up to and including 2003, the hit parade was presented by (almost) all of the station's presenters. The marathon broadcast began with the 2004 edition, ie two presenters took over the studio for the entire Easter weekend. In 2007 there was a one-time return to the old scheme. As of 2015, the concept had to be changed because the labor inspectorate asserted that moderators were not allowed to run a marathon for labor law reasons. As a result, teams were formed from then on. Because of this, Christoph Recker and Jan Zerbst were not allowed to moderate the Easter Hit Parade for 58 hours in 2015, but were represented by three other teams. In 2016 the concept was adjusted again, there are basically only moderator teams, but they no longer support Christoph Recker and Jan Zerbst.
In 2018 and 2019, 1000 hits were played in the program The Yellow from the Egg . Accordingly, the marathon did not end until the morning of the Tuesday after Easter, without holding a final party.
In 2020 there was still a music presentation called The Yellow of the Egg . The form of a hit parade was completely abandoned. Before Easter, the listeners of Radio ffn were asked to ask for their favorite song, so that the yellow from the egg was restructured into a kind of "request concert". In addition, the program did not start on Holy Saturday, as in the years 1991 to 2019, but only ran on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. On Holy Saturday, the normal program and thus also a new edition of the weekly chart show Lower Saxony's Top 40 was broadcast.
