David Redecsy

David Redecsy (born March 17, 1979 ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and trade unionist. He has been a member of the Carinthian state parliament since 2013 .

education and profession

Redecsy was born the son of an accountant and a kindergarten director. He grew up with his brother in Klagenfurt and, after his parents divorced, also grew up with three half-siblings. Redecsy began his schooling at the Körnerschule in Klagenfurt. After graduating from elementary school, he moved to the Mössingerstraße grammar school and subsequently attended the BORG Klagenfurt. He then continued his training at the Baumgartner Höhe health and nursing school in Vienna . Redecsy spent a total of six years in Vienna, where he trained as a qualified nurse and subsequently worked in this profession for the municipality of Vienna. In 2004 he moved back to Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, where he works as a qualified nurse in the Klagenfurt Clinic of the KABEG .

Politics and functions

Redecsy has been the works council of Klinikum Klagenfurt am Wörthersee since 2009. He is also the deputy chairman of the works council and chairman of the company sports association and is also a member of the Carinthian regional executive committee of the social democratic unionists' group. In his home community of Klagenfurt, he holds the office of district chairman of the SPÖ district organization V LKH / Fesching within the party.In addition, he has been a local council in Klagenfurt and a member of the main committee and fire brigade, the road construction, traffic and sewer construction committee, the health committee and Tourism and Building Construction Committee. Redecsy ran for the 2013 state election and was sworn in as a member of the state parliament on March 28, 2013. Since then, he has also been Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Social Affairs, Health, Hospitals, Families, Generations and Women.

Redecsy is single and lives in Klagenfurt.
