Christof Seymann

Christof Seymann (born March 31, 1961 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Since April 2018 he has been a member of the Carinthian state parliament .

Life

After primary school, Christof Seymann attended the Academic Gymnasium Salzburg in the Salzburg district of Nonntal , where he graduated in 1979 . After his military service , he began studying forestry , torrent and avalanche control at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna , which he completed in 1988 with a diploma thesis on the ecological and economic effects of torrent ecological and economic effects of the integral improvement project of the Vorderes Zillertal, taking special account of the Geolsalm and the Wildauwald as a graduate engineer. Since 1988 he has been working for the forest engineering service for torrent and avalanche control in Carinthia, initially as a forest technician in the regional construction management (GBL) Oberes Drautal and Mölltal, from 1999 to 2004 as head of the project planning office of the Carinthia section and since 2004 as deputy head of the section Carinthia. In 1992 he passed the state examination for higher forest service.

Christof Seymann has been a member of the local council in Treffen am Ossiacher See since 2011 . On 12 April 2018 he was in the inaugural parliament session of the 32nd legislative period as a Member of the Carinthian parliament sworn in , where he acts as Division Chairman of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Committee on communities, fire brigades and civil protection, the Committee for Nature Protection, Energy and Environment, Member of the Committee for Water Management, Public Water Resources and Hydrography and the Control Committee.
