Dietmar Rauter

Dietmar Rauter (born March 22, 1973 ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), previously Alliance Future Austria (BZÖ). He has been the mayor of Sankt Urban since 2009 and a member of the Carinthian state parliament since April 2018 .

Life

After compulsory school, Dietmar Rauter graduated from the Feldkirchen Commercial Academy , where he graduated in 1992 . He trained as a skilled agricultural worker and passed the payroll audit in 1994, the apprentice trainer examination in 1995, the accountant examination in 1996 and the accountant examination in 1997. He has been working as an independent accountant since 2001, and has been the managing director of a tax consultancy since 2005. As a sideline, he runs an agricultural business.

In the municipal council and mayoral elections in Carinthia in 2009 , he ran for the Alliance Future Austria , the mayor runoff election against the previous mayor of Sankt Urban , Hermann Huber (SPÖ), he won with 57.09 percent of the vote. In the municipal council and mayoral elections in Carinthia in 2015 , he ran for the FPÖ and was re-elected with 66.52 percent of the vote.

Since 2014 he has been FPÖ district party chairman in the Feldkirchen district . In March 2017 Rauter was originally supposed to take over his mandate in the Federal Council after Gerhard Dörfler's resignation , but Jutta Arztmann , who was passed over by the FPÖ Carinthia as a substitute member of the Federal Council before Rauter, did not want to give up in favor of Rauter, who was already presented as his successor. Doktormann accepted the Federal Council mandate, resigned from the FPÖ and remained in the Federal Council as a non-party member with no party affiliation. After the regional elections in Carinthia 2018 Rauter was in the inaugural parliament session of the 32nd legislative period on 12 April 2018 as a deputy to the Carinthian parliament sworn in , where he's Committee on Finance and Investment Management, the Committee on Housing, Labor and Technology and the Committee on Economic , Tourism and mobility.
