Deanery South Sauerland
The Deanery South Sauerland is a Roman Catholic Dean's Office in the Archdiocese of Paderborn . The dean's office based in Olpe is congruent with the boundaries of the Olpe district . The deanery was founded on July 1st, 2006 from the three deaneries Olpe, Attendorn and Elspe. The background is a structural reform in the Archdiocese of Paderborn. It is divided into fourteen pastoral associations with a total of 62 parishes , parish vicarages and branch communities. The deanery has around 102,400 Catholics . Pastor Friedhelm Rüsche was dean until August 2015 . His successor is Pastor Andreas Neuser (Attendorn).
