German field handball championship 1938/39

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German field handball championship 1938/39 was the 18th German field handball championship . With the annexation of Austria there were now 17 Gauligen, the winners of which qualified for the championship finals. As in previous years, the preliminary round of the round-robin tournament was held in four groups with a return leg. The four group winners then played the field handball champions in the knockout system , the semi-finals again took place in the best-of-three mode . Last year's winner MTSA Leipzig was able to successfully defend its championship title thanks to a 6: 4 success over Lintforter SpV . For the military sports club of Infantry Regiment 11 from Leipzig, this was the third and last title win.
