German field handball championship 1936/37

The German field handball championship 1936/37 was the 16th German field handball championship . Once again, the winners of the existing handball gaulish qualifications for the finals. The preliminary round as already in the preseason in the round-robin tournament held in four groups of four participants with home and away. The four group winners then played the field handball champions in the knockout system . For the first time, the semi-finals took place in best-of-three mode , but the final was still played in one game. Last year's finalist MTSA Leipzig secured the field handball championship for the first time with a 5-4 win over SV Waldhof Mannheim .

For unknown reasons, no representative from Gauliga II Pomerania and Gauliga VI Mitte took part in this year's championship finals.
