German field handball championship 1937/38

The German field handball championship 1937/38 was the 17th German field handball championship . Once again, the winners of the 16 existing handball players qualified for the finals. The preliminary round as in the previous years in the round-robin tournament held in four groups of four participants with home and away. The four group winners then played the field handball champions in the knockout system , the semi-finals again took place in the best-of-three mode . Last year's winner MTSA Leipzig was able to successfully defend its championship title thanks to a 6: 5 success over MSV Weißenfels .
