The tri-band world championship for women in 2008 was a tournament in Karambolagedisziplin three-band and found from 5th to 7th of September in Sivas , Turkey , instead.

mode

In the preliminary round, the game was played in four groups of four players in round robin mode for two sets of up to 12 points. The first two of the group moved into the final round, where the knockout system played on three winning sets of up to 12 points. The recordings were limited to 25. In the group stage, a push was played. Thus, a draw was possible.

Tournament commentary

The Japanese Orie Hida secured her third title at the third women's world championship in three cushion. For the third time a Dutch woman was her opponent in the final and for the third time the final result was 3-0 sets for Hida. The overall performance of this championship remained below that of previous years. Only Hida showed absolute world class performances. For the first time a participant from America came to this world championship.
