Emilio De Marchi (Actor)
Emilio De Marchi (* 1959 in Candiana , Veneto ) is an Italian actor .
Life
De Marchi, born in northern Italy in the province of Padua , grew up bilingual with Italian and German as mother tongues. From July 1981 to April 1983 he attended the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg as a guest student . He attended various workshops at the Actors Studio in New York City .
De Marchi has worked in nearly 150 international, Italian and German film and television productions since 1985. His role spectrum included main and supporting roles, often typically Italian characters from waiter, restaurant owner, police officer to mafioso.
In the cinema he was mostly seen in supporting roles, in the historical film The Passion of Christ (2004; as a Roman soldier) and in the German comedy Germanikus (2004; as Balsamico).
In the television series Die Anstalt - Back to Life he had a continuous series role from 2002-2008; he was the caretaker Marco Fiedler. In the ZDF television film Italy in the Heart (2008) he played the Italian businessman Enrico Prodi. In the ZDF crime series Unter Verdacht in 2011, he was seen alongside Senta Berger as ship's captain Marcello Caponatti. In the ZDF crime series Munich Murder (2014), he was the Mafia boss Franco. De Marchi also played in several episodes of the ARD crime series Tatort . In Tatort: Macht und Ohnmacht (2013) he embodied the patrolman and district manager Matteo Lechner, the confidante and mentor of the former inspector Carlo Menzinger ( Michael Fitz ). It is noteworthy that De Marchi had a complete nude scene in this episode and his hairy genital area was shown in close-up.
In March 2016, De Marchi was seen in the ARD television film Der Urbino-Krimi: Die Tote im Palazzo as the unscrupulous Vice-Mayor Enrico Manchetti. In May 2016 he was in the ZDF crime series The boss in an episode supporting role as a gay coroner Dr. To see Berthold, who has his eye on Chief Detective Paul Böhmer ( Jürgen Tonkel ). In May 2016 De Marchi starred in the ZDF “Herzkino” film A Summer in Sicily ; he played alongside Henriette Richter-Röhl , Sky Du Mont and Giorgio Lupano , the Italian winemaker Ludovico Veritas.
De Marchi, who had a guest role in many German television series, was in episode roles a. a. in A case for TKKG (1985; as suspect and restaurant owner Mario Frasketti), Derrick (1989; as Hoss), Zwei Münchner in Hamburg (1993; as Italian Nicoletti), Sylter Stories (1996; with Nadja Tiller as partner), Inspector Rex (1998; as Italian Mimmo Munafi), Ein Fall für Zwei (2001; as pimp Boris Limonow), Großstadtrevier (2001; as protection money collector Carlo), SOKO Munich (2010; as Don Vittorio Scarpa), The Detective (2014; as taxi entrepreneur Bogdan Markovics), SOKO Leipzig (2015; as Calabrian Mafia boss Franco Catanzaro) and SOKO Stuttgart (2016; as previously convicted bar owner Jakub Stehlik).
In January 2018 De Marchi appeared in the ZDF television series SOKO Wismar in an episode role as Christof Teevs; he played the victim's lawyer and best friend who becomes a murderer again to cover up his involvement in a previous murder.
Occasionally, De Marchi had theater engagements since 1980. a. at the Landesbühne Hannover , at the Hamburger Kammerspiele , at the Theater im Zimmer in Hamburg, at the Theater im Zimmer Berlin (1988; in orgy by Pier Paolo Pasolini ), at the Ernst Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg (1999; as chief Bromden in one flew over the cuckoo's nest ), at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf .
In 2007 he was named "Best Actor" at the Gallio Film Festival in Italy for his role in the Italian film In the Abysses of Profits (2005).
Emilio De Marchi lives in Berlin .
