English Rugby Union Championship 2015/16

The 2015/16 season of the English Premiership was the 29th season of the major division of the English Rugby Union Championship. For sponsorship reasons it was called Aviva Premiership . It began on October 16, 2015, comprised 22 match days (one preliminary and one second round) and lasted until May 7, 2016. The four best-placed teams then qualified for the semi-finals, the semi-final winners met on May 28, 2015 in the final in Twickenham Stadium on top of each other. The Saracens won the title and were able to repeat their success in the previous season.

    The season of the second division, the RFU Championship , comprises 22 game days (one first and one second round). While the worst-ranked team is relegated directly to the third division, the four best-placed teams carry out a playoff with a two-part semi-final and a final. The final winner is promoted to the Premiership.
