Vini Zabù KTM is an Italian cycling team .
organization
The manager of the team founded in 2009 is Angelo Citracca. Luca Scinto is the sporting director .
The team was sponsored in 2009 and 2010 by the Ukrainian steel manufacturer Industrieunion Donbass (ISD) and the Italian steel mill plant manufacturer Danieli . At the end of the 2010 season, ISD stopped sponsoring the team and supported the Lampre-ISD team from 2011 to 2012 . The main sponsor was Farnese Vini from 2011 to 2013 , last year under the brand name Vini Fantini . The second name sponsor in 2012 and 2013 was the saddle manufacturer Selle Italia . After the two doping cases Mauro Santambrogio and Danilo Di Luca and the departure of the sponsor Vini Fantini, the team is supported in 2014 by the food company Neri Sottoli , the bike brand Cipollini and the textile company Alé .
The team operator until 2013 was the British company Croft Sport Ltd , based in London . In 2014, the Italian company Yellow Fluo Pro Cycling Team Srl , based in Pistoia, took over the operation. The name Yellow Fluo was used colloquially before the 2014 season and alluded to the fluorescent yellow of the team jerseys. In the 2016 season, the Irish company Thacor Limited became the new team operator.
The team joined the Mouvement Pour un Cyclisme Crédible in 2014 . Membership was suspended from November to October 2015 after discussions about the internal team doping case Matteo Rabottini . The UCI license commission granted the team the Professional Continental license for 2015 on December 10, 2014, subject to strict control by the Cycling Anti-Doping Foundation .
Luca Scinto resigned from team management at the end of the 2014 season. The name sponsor Neri Sottoli supported the team beyond 2014, but was increasingly involved in the youth team named after the former Italian professional cyclist and national coach Franco Ballerini . The new namesake of the team that hired Alessandro Petacchi was the Chinese steel producer Southeast.
For the 2016 season, the Venezuelan Ministry of Sports was first renamed the second main sponsor and the team was renamed Southeast Venezuela . The project should also include a South American U23 and a women's team. From May 2016 Venezuela was replaced by the bicycle manufacturer Wilier Triestina as name sponsor.
As a result of research by the Italian daily Corriere della Sera , the team was accused in 2016 of circumventing the rules on minimum wages at Professional Continental Teams by having the drivers repay salaries to other accounts. An investigation by the Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano ended in November 2016 with the acquittal of the manager Angelo Citracca. The defense stated that drivers were only legally involved in the acquisition of small sponsors.
