Description and meaning
The national flag consists of three horizontal stripes of equal size: green at the top, white in the middle and blue at the bottom. An aspect ratio of 6 to 9 is required.
The color “green” symbolizes agriculture, the mountains and the natural resources of the country. “White” stands for unity and justice, and the color “blue” represents the hope that the natural harbor of the capital Freetown will contribute to peace in the world.
