Gerhard Gustmann

Gerhard Gustmann (born August 13, 1910 in Bonn ; † March 30, 1992 ibid) was a German rower from the Spandau rowing club "Friesen" in Berlin.

Together with Herbert Adamski and helmsman Dieter Arend , he won the gold medal in two with helmsman at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin . In 1937 he won the European Championship with Adamski and the new helmsman Günter Holstein , and in 1938 the three rowers came second in the European Championship.

Gustmann won his first German championship title in 1935 in eighth place. Adamski and Gustmann were German champions four times in a row from 1936 to 1939, and in 1939 they also sat in the victorious four-man team.
