Großengersdorf is a market town with 1,497 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Mistelbach district in Lower Austria .

Großengersdorf is located in the Weinviertel in Lower Austria five kilometers east of Wolkersdorf on the edge of the hilly country that closes the Marchfeld to the north. The area of ​​the municipality covers 15.53 square kilometers. 6.65 percent of the area is forested.
