In 1545 Staatz had to do basic service at Altenburg Castle in “Nider-Stinchenbrunn”. 1679–1713 the plague raged in Unterstinkenbrunn. Unterstinchenbrunn Castle and Lordship was owned by the County of Sinzendorf until 1822, whose coat of arms was placed over the entrance to the castle. In 1727, the lordship allowed ten families to build small houses, granted construction aids and three years off.

In 1822, Unterstinchenbrunn Castle and Lordship passed into the possession of the von Reuss-Köstritz family until 1933. In the years 1832, 1855 and 1866 cholera epidemics dominated the fate of the people. Large fires wreaked havoc in 1814, 1863 and 1866. The parish church of St. Peter and Paul was built between 1861 and 1863. In 1888 the Unterstinkenbrunn volunteer fire brigade was founded.
Through Friedrich Six, Canon of St. Stephan in Vienna, the community came into the possession of a children's home. The construction of this home began in 1904 and ended in 1905. The nursery school was run by the Order of the Sisters of St. Joseph until 1994 and is now being looked after by the state of Lower Austria with qualified nursery school teachers.
