Háj u Duchcova is located at the foot of the southern slope of the Ore Mountains , about six kilometers west of Teplice .
Community structure
The municipality of Háj u Duchcova consists of the districts and cadastral districts Domaslavice ( Deutzendorf ) and Háj u Duchcova ( Haan ). The village of Háj u Duchcova is divided into the localities Horní Háj ( Oberhaan ) and Dolní Háj ( Unterhaan ).
The place is first mentioned in the founding documents of the Ossegg monastery in 1203. After that, Prince Slávek von Ossegg gave the monastery to the Cistercians, along with other settlements, including Háj. Since the early 1930s, the village of Osek tried to become independent. In 1950 the Czech parliament made it an independent municipality.
