history

According to ancient traditions, the Neusiedel farm was already located on the right bank of the Bystřice in 1126. It was first mentioned in a document in 1352 as a building sand farm . Even at that time the place was a parish village. The name of the village is later passed down as Bohosudov and with the German name Weißkirchlitz. The place is not to be confused with the Krupka district of Bohosudov . The existence of the St. Valentin Church has been documented since 1384.

The place was part of the Teplice estate , whose owners were Count Kinsky until the Thirty Years' War . In 1634 Johann von Aldringen received the goods, which passed to the Clary-Aldringen family after his death . Weißkirchlitz was an agricultural village until the 19th century. Five mills were operated on the Bystřice. The Swiss mill, located below the Louisenfelsen, later became a restaurant in the landscape park between Weißkirchlitz and Wistritz, north of the Töplitz spa, which was commissioned by Louise Radziwill, née Clary-Aldringen. After the abolition of patrimonial Weisskirchlitz became an independent municipality in the Töplitz district in 1850. At that time the village, where Czechs and Germans lived, had 124 inhabitants.

In the second half of the 19th century, the character of the place changed with the start of industrialization. The Purkert paper mill was established in 1853. A fat factory, a bag factory, a brick factory and a kitchen utensil company were added later. In 1871 the Dux-Bodenbacher Eisenbahn started operating on the Bodenbach-Ossegg line . However, the trains rolled through Weißkirchlitz without stopping, the next stations were Rosenthal / Vrchoslav and the Teplitz Waldthor / Teplice Lesní brána station. After the nationalization of the Dux-Bodenbacher railway company, Weißkirchlitz received its own railway station in 1895. In the same year, the electric narrow-gauge railway between the health resorts of Teplitz and Eichwald , which led via Weißkirchlitz and Zuckmantel / Pozorka, started operating. After the Munich Agreement , it was incorporated into the German Reich in 1938. In 1939, 3,901 people lived in the municipality in the Teplitz-Schönau district .

After the Second World War, the population consisted mainly of workers from industrial plants, agriculture only played a subordinate role. In 1947 Novosedlice was incorporated into the district town as part of the Teplice 5 district as part of the planned creation of a "large" Teplice. In 1954 the plans for "Velká Teplice" were given up and Novosedlice got his independence back.

The Teplice - Dubí electric tram ceased traffic in 1959 and was initially replaced by buses, then from 1962 by a trolleybus line via Teplice to Trnovany. On December 31, 1995, trolleybus traffic was discontinued.
