Lists on the subject

The HK32 was a prototype made in the early 1970s for a further development of the H&K G3 assault rifle .

Model variants

  • HK32A2, fixed wooden or plastic shoulder support
  • HK32A3, metal shoulder support
  • HK32KA3, metal shoulder rest, short barrel

The body, sights, handle and metal shoulder rest were identical to the G3. Curved magazines made of sheet steel were used, which were identical to the Soviet AK-47 magazines. Therefore, this weapon was also made in the Soviet 7.62 × 39 mm caliber . It is believed that, similar to Armalite's Ar47 project , the rifle was intended for use behind enemy lines. According to Wollert / Lidschun rifle weapons today , however, these weapons were produced purely as export weapons for states with an orderly caliber of 7.62 × 39 mm (e.g. Egypt).

The weapon was never developed beyond the prototype as the manufacturer focused on weapons with NATO calibers. This consideration resulted in weapons such as the HK33 , HK53 , HK G41 and, in the 1990s, the HK G36 .

The KA3 had a 340 mm long barrel. By inserting the buttstock, the length of the weapon could be varied between 645 mm and 853 mm.
