The HK P10 is a pistol produced by the weapons manufacturer Heckler & Koch . It is a recoil loader with a Browning lock . The pistol is the standard police service pistol in some German states. It is also used in the corresponding penal institutions .

The P10 is a variant of the "USP Compact" (universal self-loading pistol). It was the first pistol that met the requirements of the technical guideline "Pistols" of the German Police University (DHPol) and was certified by it.
