Sister Inge takes care of the worries and needs of her patients in the Hamburg harbor hospital. She is not only there for the sick from a medical point of view, Inge is always the contact person for their private problems.

Hafenkrankenhaus was the first hospital series on German television after the US General Hospital went on air in 1963 . The scripts were written by various writers, including Ben Witter and George Hurdalek . As guest actors, actors from the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater have repeatedly been engaged.
