The Hainan Autonomous District of the Tibetans ( Tibetan : Tsholho ) is located in the middle east of the Chinese province of Qinghai and is part of the Tibetan cultural region of Amdo. Hainan has an area of 45,895 km². Its administrative seat ("capital") is the large community Qabqa ( 36 ° 16 ' N , 100 ° 37' E ) in Gonghe County.
Five districts are subordinate to the autonomous district:
- Gonghe District (共和 县), capital: Qabqa Municipality (恰卜恰 镇);
- the circle Tongde (同德县), capital: greater community Gabasumdo (尕巴松多镇);
- the district guide (贵德 县), main town: Großgemeinde Heyin (河阴 镇);
- Xinghai County (兴 海 县), capital: Zigortan Township (子 科 滩镇);
- Guinan County (贵 南县), capital: Mangqu Municipality (茫 曲 镇).
At the census in 2000, Hainan had 375,426 inhabitants (population density: 8.18 inh / km²).
