Hakon Hirzenberger

Hakon Hirzenberger (born April 8, 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian director , author , actor , musician and producer.

Life

After dropping out of law studies , he decided to take up acting and studied at the Vienna Conservatory . Engagements followed a. at the Volkstheater (Vienna) , the Schauspielhaus Zürich and theater in the Josefstadt Vienna. He plays in various series and films. Hirzenberger also works as a director and author at the Saarbrücken State Theater , the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Volksbühne Berlin , the Phoenix Theater in Linz and the Waldviertler Hoftheater, among others .

He is the lyricist and frontman of the band Hakon and the Virgins .

In 2011 he founded the Steudltenn theater festival in Zillertal / Tyrol, of which he is the artistic director to this day. Hirzenberger is also responsible for the artistic direction of the “Culture grows back” festival. This triennial festival for young audiences took place for the first time in 2018.

He lives in Uderns / Zillertal and Vienna .
