Hans-Günter Brodmann (born September 22, 1955 in Schönwald (Bavaria) ) is a German drummer of jazz and contemporary chamber music. Since 1997 Brodmann has also been working as a video artist and filmmaker .

Life

Musical work

From 1978 to 1984 Brodmann studied classical drums with Hermann Schwander at the Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg, which later became the Nuremberg University of Music . From 1987 he teaches there as a teacher for drum set and is the initiator and 1991 co-founder of the jazz department. Brodmann has been Professor of Jazz Drums at the Nuremberg University of Music since 2012. Among other things, the drummers Max Breu, Jan F. Hans-Günter Brodmann's first video work with the title "When all the senses quake" was created in 1997 - a video live music performance with cleverly "played in" smells, distributed sweets for snacking and live music.
