Hans Scharfetter (born July 4, 1962 in Schwarzach im Pongau ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and managing director. Scharfetter has been a member of the Salzburg State Parliament since 2004 and also Vice President of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce.

education and profession

After attending primary and secondary school in Bad Hofgastein, Scharfetter completed the three-year hotel management school in Bad Hofgastein. Then he attended the five-year tourism college in Salzburg- Kleßheim and did military service. He then began studying law as well as political and communication sciences at the University of Salzburg and graduated in 1991 with a Mag. Phil. from.

Scharfetter subsequently worked as the sole managing director of Scharfetter Betriebe GmbH (catering / rental as well as agriculture and forestry) and is the managing chairman of Holzwärme Gastein GenmbH.

politics

Scharfetter has been active in the Bad Hofgastein community council since 1989 and has been a local councilor since 1994. Later he was also elected chairman of the ÖVP parliamentary group. He subsequently also took over the office of district chairman of the Pongau Economic Association and is also district chairman of the farmers' union . He holds the function of chairman of Pro Holz Salzburg, is chairman of the supervisory board of Kurzentrum Bad Hofgastein GmbH, advisory board of the Gasteiner Thermen-Errichtungsgesellschaft and departmental chairman of the tourism and leisure sector in the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce. In June 2008 Scharfetter was elected as the new chairman of the supervisory board of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences . He also took on the role of deputy chairman of the supervisory board at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences Research Society.

Scharfetter has been a member of the state parliament since April 28, 2004. He was elected area spokesman for tourism (hotel / catering, SLT / associations, lead projects, new markets), energy (hydropower, Salzburg AG, alternative energies, nuclear policy) and economy and is a candidate in the 2009 state elections in fifth place on the Pongau regional constituency list, on the ÖVP state list, he was ranked seventh.

Private

Scharfetter has been married since 1997 and has two sons and two daughters.
