Heinrich von Treskow
Heinrich Alexander von Treskow (born October 25, 1840 in Radojewo ; † May 27, 1927 there ) was a Prussian officer , most recently a lieutenant general .
Life
origin
He came from the Brandenburg noble family von Treskow and was the son of the manor owner Heinrich von Treskow (1795–1861) and his wife Antonie, née von Bünting (1811–1860). Every year he met with his twelve brothers on their father's estate.
Military career
Tresckow came on March 1, 1859 cadet in the 7th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian army in Poznan and was there on 13 November to Portepee - Ensign appointed. By AKO on May 5, 1860, the 7th combined infantry regiment was formed from the three Landwehr trunk battalions in Jauer , Hirschberg and Löwenberg . By an AKO on July 4, 1860, the name of the 7th regiment was changed to the 2nd West Prussian Grenadier Regiment (No. 7) and that of the 7th combined regiment to the 2nd Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 47 . During the German-Danish War his regiment was in Denmark , but did not take part in any combat operations. On August 18, 1860, he was promoted to Second Lieutenant and was transferred to the 2nd Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 47. Since November 11, 1861, Treskow was an adjutant to the battalion . In the German War he took part in the battles near Nachod and Skalitz . There he was badly wounded in the right hand. On October 1, 1864, his work as adjutant ended. After Treskow had been promoted to Prime Lieutenant on October 30, 1866 , he came to the NCO School in Potsdam on September 24, 1867 . Here he initially served as a company officer and from September 3, 1868 to July 23, 1870 as a company commander.
With the mobilization on the occasion of the war against France Treskow returned to his regiment , took part in the fighting near Weißenburg and was slightly wounded in the battle of Wörth in the right ear. From September 9, 1870 to March 10, 1871, also on the day of the imperial proclamation , he acted as the square major of Versailles . During this time Treskow took part in the siege of Paris until the preliminary peace .
From February 26, 1871, he was assigned to serve in the Department of Personal Affairs at the War Ministry . Here he was aggregated into his first regiment on May 27, 1871, which was now called the King's Grenadier Regiment (2nd West Prussian) No. 7, and promoted to captain on June 3, 1871 . With a patent dated September 24, 1870, his position à la suite of the 2nd Hanseatic Infantry Regiment No. 76 followed on April 1, 1876 . With simultaneous promotion to the surplus major , Treskow was transferred to the War Ministry on December 12, 1876. It joined on May 6, 1880 transfer to the General Staff he was transferred to the General Staff of the Army, and he was appointed as Staff Officer to the V. Army inspection of Karlsruhe ordered.
Promoted to lieutenant colonel on February 12, 1884 , Treskow was relieved of his command as a regular staff officer in the grenadier regiment "King Friedrich Wilhelm IV" (1st Pomeranian) No. 2 in Stettin on September 20 . As such, he was on an information course at the infantry shooting school in Spandau from September 29 to October 9, 1885 . On April 14, 1887 he was entrusted with the leadership of the 6th Thuringian Infantry Regiment No. 95 with garrison in Gotha , Hildburghausen and Coburg à la suite. With his promotion to colonel on July 16, 1887, he was appointed regimental commander. In position à la suite of the regiment, he was transferred to the War Ministry in Berlin on February 15, 1890. There he was employed as head of department and promoted Treskow to major general on March 24th . To represent Paul von Rheinbaben , commander of the 38th Infantry Brigade , Treskow was ordered to Hanover on January 24, 1891 and appointed its commander on February 9. For commanders of Gdansk , he was appointed on 27 January 1893, received on June 17 the character as a lieutenant general. On June 16, 1896, Treskow was put up for disposition with the statutory pension in approval of his resignation request.
family
Treskow married Emma Bering Liisberg on July 12, 1871 in Aarhus . He met the daughter of the merchant and brewery owner Hans Laurits Bering Liisberg during the German-Danish War in Aarhus. After his return from the Franco-Prussian War, he immediately went to Denmark to marry her. The marriage had two children:

- Ellen Margarethe Hedwig (born January 6, 1882 in Karlsruhe, † January 27, 1952 in Kiel )
After Margarethe married her cousin Hermann Max Hugo (born March 25, 1872 in Radojewo; † September 11, 1939 in Wathbrücken) in 1907, she became a landlady on Radojewo. The whole family moved back to the family estate in Poznan.
