Helmuth A. Häusler

Helmuth A. Häusler (* 1970 in Tyrol ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Helmuth A. Häusler first studied the subject combination of education and philosophy at the University of Innsbruck and then worked as a socio-educational supervisor with children and young people from difficult social backgrounds. In his late twenties he switched to acting, which had been his great passion since childhood, studied acting and passed the stage entrance examination in Vienna . As a theater actor, he had numerous engagements on Tyrolean stages and in the off-theater scene in Tyrol, a. a. at the basement theater in Innsbruck , at the Tyrolean folk theater in Telfs (2011, in Ambrosia by Roland Schimmelpfennig ), at the “Haller Augenspieltheater” in Hall in Tyrol , at the “Theater Praesent” in Innsbruck , at the Westbahntheater in Innsbruck and at the Innsbruck Cathedral Festival.

From 2005 to 2015 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Tiroler Landestheater . There he played a wide repertoire that included Greek tragedy, the major works of the Classical period and numerous pieces from the turn of the century and modern. His stage roles there included u. a. Count Dunois in The Maiden of Orleans (2004/05 season, director: Maya Fanke ), Juan in Yerma (2005/06 season, director: Ioan C. Toma), Just in Minna von Barnhelm (2006/07 season, director: Anne Blade), Dr. Rank in Nora or Ein Puppenheim (March to June 2007, director: Christian Himmelbauer), Hjalmar Ekdal in Die Wildente (2007/08 season, director: Klaus Rohrmoser ), the title role in Tartuffe (2008/09 season, director: Klaus Rohrmoser) , Michael in Das Fest (2008/09 season, director: Michael Gampe ), Kasimir in Kasimir und Karoline (2009/10 season, director: Guntram Brattia ), the "Masked Lord" in Spring Awakening (2009/10 season, director: Markus Völlenklee ), the title role in Urfaust (2010/11 season, director: Reinhard Göber ), Ossip in Platonow (2009/10 season, director: Mona Kraushaar ), Brabantio in Othello (2010/11 season, director: Michael Gampe), Agamemnon in Die Orestie (season 2011/12, director: Klaus Rohrmoser) and Hagen von Tronje in Die Nibelungen (season 2012/13, director: Thomas Krauss).

In the 2007/08 season he also took on the speaking role of steward at the Tyrolean State Theater in the opera Ariadne auf Naxos . In the 2014/15 season he was seen at the Tiroler Landestheater as Karenin in Anna Karenina (by Armin Petras after Leo Tolstoy ) under the direction of Susanne Schmelcher ; the performance received the Nestroy Prize for the best federal state performance in 2015.

Since 2015, Häusler has been increasingly involved in numerous independent theater productions. In November 2015 he played Orestes in the world premiere of the play Elektra and the Bear by Petra Maria Kraxner at the Free Theater Innsbruck . In the spring of 2016 he appeared as son-in-law in August Strindberg's play Stake at the Theater Education Center in Hall in Tirol , under the direction of the former head of drama at the Tiroler Landestheater, Klaus Rohrmoser . In the summer of 2016 he directed the Rattenberger Schlossbergspiele, where he presented a version of the novel Peter Pan by James Matthew Barrie that was dramatized for young adults .

In the 2016/17 season he was a guest at the “Theater an der Effingerstrasse” in Berne as son Eric in the play “Bella Figura” by Yasmina Reza . In the 2016/17 season he played at the “Theater im Container” in Telfs in the world premiere of the love and relationship comedy Die Tagebücher von Adam & Eva (by Anne Clausen based on Mark Twain ; director: Anne Clausen).

From May / June 2017 he played the role of the risen time traveler Lazarus Modriach in the hit revue Ich, Zarah von Franzobel at the “Theater am Schiff” in a production of the “Neue Bühne Villach” . In August 2017 he played the role of Judas Iskarioth in the monologue Judas by the Dutch author Lot Vekemans at the “Theater in der Arche Noe” in Kufstein / Tyrol . With the monologue Judas he appeared again in Kufstein in November / December 2017. In the 2017/18 season he also performed the monologue Judas at the Innsbruck cellar theater (March 2018).

Since autumn 2018 Häusler ensemble of the State Theater Linz , where he was Ivan Petrovich Wosmibratow in the forest of Alexander Ostrovsky and as exterminator Wolf in The Spendthrift of Ferdinand Raimund occurred.

Häusler has also worked continuously for film and television since 2003. He worked u. a. together with the directors Hans-Günther Bücking , Andreas Prochaska , Nils Willbrandt and Barbara Eder .

In the German-Austrian feature film Das finstere Tal (2014) he played Hubert Brenner, one of the six sons of the criminal Brenner clan, who rule a remote mountain village in the Alps. In May 2015 he was seen on Austrian television in the Austrian television series SOKO Donau in an episode role as the disfigured fire victim Bertram Stocker, who takes brutal revenge on his three half-siblings ( Tatjana Alexander , Susanna Kubelka , Alexander Jagsch ). In the four-part Austro-German miniseries Mörderisches Tal - Pregau (2016) he had a continuous supporting role as pimp Anton. In April 2017 he could be seen again as an episode actor in the series SOKO Donau , this time as veterinarian Dr. Robert Hofner, in an episode with Muriel Baumeister in the lead role. In the Viennese Tatort: ​​Virus (first broadcast: August 2017) he had a supporting role as a witness Walter Böckl who discovered the body. In the Austrian television series SOKO Kitzbühel (first broadcast: January 2018), Häusler was seen in a supporting role as a suspect and later murdered farmer Josef Kritzer.

Häusler works regularly as a speaker for ORF Tirol and Radio Ö1 in radio plays and literature readings. He also performs with readings and recitation evenings etc. a. with texts by Karl Valentin , Ingeborg Bachmann , Ernst Jandl and with poetry by Austrian minorities.

He lives in the market town of Kundl in Tyrol and in Linz.
