Heyden (Westphalian noble family)
Heyden , also known as Heiden , is the name of an ancient Westphalian noble family to which the barons and counts came and which was able to spread to the Netherlands and Russia .
There is no known tribal relationship to the numerous other Heyden families .
history
Origin and expansion
The von Heyden family with their parent company of the same name in the Borken district has its origins in the Principality of Münster . The continuous trunk series begins with Menso de Heidene 1316 knight and chairman of the Heyden Freihstuhl.
From the Lower Rhine line, the brothers Friedrich von Heiden auf Bruch , Rhade and Schönrath , Johann Dietrich von Heiden († 1669) to Ootmarsum and Gottfried von Heiden († 1670) to Hovestadt , in Ebersdorf on September 13, 1655, were given the status of imperial barons. For Baron Georg von [der] Heiden auf Buch, Rhade and Schönrath, the electoral Brandenburg recognition of the baron status took place on October 15, 1651 in Kleve . The brothers Freiherr Friedrich Johann Sigismund von Heyden (1696–1769), Drost von Twente and Freiherr Alexander Carl von Heyden (1709–1776) were raised to the rank of imperial count in Vienna on July 27, 1767. By extraordinary decree of February 5, 1816, the Dutch recognition of the title of count for the brothers Count Sigismund Jacques von Heiden (1771-1830) on Larrwoud and Reinestein and Count Wilhelm Jacques von Heiden (1778-1835) on Entinge. The two aforementioned brothers, Count Ludwig Sigismund Gustav Heiden (1773-1850), was registered with the Estonian knighthood in February 1836 .
From the Westphalian line, the brothers Felix von Heyden , mayor in Rosmalen and Hubertus von Heyden , Dutch prime lieutenant and ordinance officer of the queen , by extraordinary decree and their cousin Hubertus von Heyden auf Küstersbrock, were mayor in Haaksbergen on 23 June 1920 . Admitted to the Dutch nobility on January 1st, 1923 .

On July 27, 1767, Baron Vincent Gustav von Hompesch-Heyden received the imperial confirmation of his testament as the imperial count status with the address "High and well-born".

- The coat of arms (1767) is quartered and covered with a golden heart shield , inside a crowned black double eagle , 1 and 4 like the family coat of arms, 2 and 3 in gold a red kettle hook ( Kettler ). Silver blue-right and left as Helm Family Crest, the right to the line with red-gold ceiling, on the central helmet with the right black and silver, left black-and-gold ceiling a golden shield with red Trammel between two: Three helmets springs , the right gold, the left red (Kettler). Shield holder : two golden lions on a green lawn .
