IC 1749 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 231 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 9, 1895 .
