IC 1906 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Fornax in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 216 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 1909 .
The property was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in 1899 .
