IC 1901 is a Hubble-type Sa spiral galaxy in the constellation Perseus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 240 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter. Together with IC 1900 and IC 1902 , it forms the isolated galaxy trio KTG 10 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 18, 1898 .
