Infanta is a Filipino municipality in the Pangasinan Province and is located on the South China Sea . The place was named in 1904 after the Spanish Queen Isabella II , who carried the title of ruler Infanta .
In 2015, 24,584 people lived in the 212 km² administrative area, resulting in a population density of 116 inhabitants per km². The majority of the population lives from agriculture, fishing and salt production. The terrain is very hilly. There is a Pangasinan State University campus in the community .
Dasol and Mabini border on Infanta in the north, Bugallon in the east and Santa Cruz ( Zambales province ) in the south .
