Interstate 180 begins at a cross with US Highways 15 and 220 in the south of Williamsport, both of which initially use the route of I-180. Interstate 180 runs parallel to the Susquehanna River in an easterly direction and in the east of Williamsport the US 15 is already leaving the route in a southerly direction. In the north of Montoursville it passes the Williamsport Regional Airport and in Muncy Township the US 220 also leaves the route. Interstate 180 then heads south from Muncy and ends 46 kilometers north of Milton on Interstate 80.
