history

The first mention from the beginning of the 17th century as a resident " Tatars with Prince Isheev" ( Tatar Işäy ), after whom the place was named. The founding year is 1625. In 1648 a Cossack unit was stationed there in the course of the Simbirsk - Karsuner Verhaulinie along the then border of Tsarist Russia , which marked the beginning of the Russian settlement of the area.

There was an economic boom from the end of the 18th century with the development of the estate of the aristocratic Krotow family. Among other things, they opened a cloth factory in 1802 . This is why Ischejewskaja fabrika was also used as a place name until the 20th century .
