Harda is a district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh . The district is populated by the indigenous people of the Bhil .

The population was 570,465 (2011). The population growth rate in the period from 2001 to 2011 was 30.70% and was therefore very high. Jhabua has a gender ratio of 996 women per 1000 men and thus a common surplus of men for India. The district had a literacy rate of 43.30% in 2011 , an increase of almost 2 percentage points compared to 2001. This means that literacy is well below the national average. Almost 93.7% of the population are Hindus , approx. 3.8% are Christians , 1.5% are Muslims , 0.9% are Jainas and 0.1% said they did not belong to any religion or belonged to other religions. Children under 6 years of age make up 20.7% of the population.
