Joe and Jake are a British pop - duo .

Joe Woolford works as a teacher in North Wales. He started singing as a child in a choir, later he tried his hand at rapper for a short time under the pseudonym JOE. Jake Shakeshaft is from Stoke-on-Trent , where he works as a radiology assistant. He initially sang in pubs and clubs in his hometown. The two musicians met in 2015 while participating in the fourth season of the talent show The Voice UK . There they were coached by Rita Ora and will.i.am , but could only achieve lower placements.

As the winner of the British preliminary decision Eurovision: You Decide , you are allowed to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm with your title You're Not Alone . At the final on May 14, 2016, they finished 24th with 62 points.
