Johannes Nussbaum , also Johannes Nussbaum (born May 31, 1995 in Mödling , Lower Austria ), is an Austrian actor .

Life

Nussbaum already played in the school theater at the Mödling elementary school. At the age of nine, alongside Maria Hofstätter and Petra Morzé , he made his film debut in Ulrich Seidl's film Import Export (2007), which was shot in 2005/2006 and completed in May 2007 . At the suggestion of the supervisor of the theater group, Nussbaum had applied to the Viennese agency Eva Roth Casting , a well-known agency for the casting of children and amateur actors. He successfully auditioned and auditioned for the film and was selected from several hundred children for his first film role.

In 2008 he had an episode role in the ORF crime series SOKO Donau . He embodied, at the side of Sona MacDonald , the younger son of a single mother and brother of a murdered student. In the movie Blood Brothers Share Everything (2012), the story of the friendship between two boys during World War II , he played the leading role of Ferry; his friend and "blood brother" Alex was Lorenz welcome . In 2012, he played the lead role in Kern's film Diamantenfieber or Buy yourself a colorful balloon, directed by Peter Kern , who had become aware of Nussbaum through sharing everything . In 2013 he put u. a. the Matura in the subjects German , English and sports studies . Since autumn 2014 he has been studying drama at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . During his studies he performed at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in Marat / Sade (premiere: 2016/17 season) directed by Stefan Pucher . In the 2017/18 season he appeared at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden in the dramatization of the novel Das Großes Heft , directed by Ulrich Rasche , for which he received the Alfred Kerr Acting Award in 2019 . In April / May 2018 he played Ferdinand in Kabale und Liebe at the Bronski & Grünberg Theater in Vienna .

He received a nomination for the New Faces Award for his role as Pauli in the television film The Midwife . In the Viennese Tatort crime thriller, alias Kidon (first broadcast in January 2015), he had a small role as warehouse worker Max. In March 2015, he played a leading role in the television series Schuld nach Ferdinand von Schirach . He played the 17-year-old boarding school student Ben and only friend and confidante of the outsider Henry.

In the Austrian television series Vorstadtweiber (2015) he played the role of Simon Schneider in the three seasons so far. He embodied the son of the series characters Maria and Georg Schneider - at the beginning of 16 years old. He was also the adolescent lover and “toy boy” of the 42-year-old serial character Waltraud Steinberg ( Maria Köstlinger ), who prefers to let her initiate himself into the art of love instead of learning Latin with her . Nussbaum had great success with television audiences with his role; his role was widely recognized in Austria. He was u. a. referred to as "women's darling", "swarm of women", "public service twinkle" and "shooting star from Mödling".

In the German comedy film Fack ju Göhte 2 he played Cedric, the leader of the tsunami orphans. In the German-Austrian feature film The Trapp Family - A Life for Music (2015) he was Sigi, the childhood friend of the main female character Agathe von Trapp.

He has been a member of the ensemble at the Munich Residenztheater since 2019 .

His favorite authors include Friedrich Dürrenmatt and Hunter S. Thompson . In his private life he enjoys listening to music by Iron And Wine , The Tallest Man on Earth and John Butler . Nussbaum lives in Vienna and Berlin.
