Joseph Mruk

Joseph Mruk (born November 6, 1903 in Buffalo , New York , † January 21, 1995 in Lancaster , New York) was an American politician .

Mruk, who worked as a jeweler, was a member of Buffalo City Council from 1937 until his resignation on December 22, 1942. In the same year he was elected as a Republican to the 78th Congress and represented New York State in the US House of Representatives from January 3, 1943 to January 3, 1945 . In 1947 Mruk was re-elected to Buffalo City Council and served as mayor from January 1, 1950 to December 31, 1953.
