The canton Jussac was 2015 a French canton in the department of Cantal and in the former region Auvergne . It included five parishes in the arrondissement of Aurillac ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Jussac .

history

The canton was created on January 22, 1985 when the cantons Aurillac-1 to Aurillac-3 were re-trimmed one more time. The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015.

geography

The canton bordered the former canton of Saint-Cernin to the north, the canton Aurillac-4 to the east, the cantons Aurillac-3 and Aurillac-1 to the south-east and south, and the canton Laroquebrou to the west .
