The Canton Arpajon-sur-Cère is a French constituency in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It is located in the Aurillac arrondissement of the Cantal department .

history

The canton Arpajon-sur-Cère was on 20 January 1982, when the six municipalities Arpajon-sur-Cère , Labrousse , Prunet , Teissières-lès-Bouliès , Vézac and Vezels-Roussy from the city cantons Aurillac 1 to Aurillac 3 removed were. It was enlarged again on March 22, 2015 as part of the reorganization of the cantons. All thirteen municipalities in the canton of Montsalvy were added. But four of the six previous municipalities switched to other cantons. This is why the canton of Arpajon-sur-Cère has had fifteen municipalities since 2015. In addition, his INSEE code changed from 1526 to 1501.
