Vézac ( Occitan : identical) is a French city and a municipality with 1205 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Aurillac and the canton of Vic-sur-Cère .

location

Vézac is part of the historic region of Carladès and is located about 13 kilometers southeast of Aurillac . The river Cère limits the municipality to the north. Vézac is surrounded by the neighboring municipality of Yolet in the north, Saint-Étienne-de-Carlat in the northeast, Carlat in the east, Labrousse in the south and southeast, Arpajon-sur-Cère in the west and southwest and Giou-de-Mamou in the northwest.
