Vitrac ( Occitan identical) is a French commune in the department of Cantal and the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and with 265 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Aurillac and the canton of Maurs (until 2015: canton of Saint-Mamet-la-Salvetat ).

Vitrac is located about 16 kilometers southwest of Aurillac in the Massif Central and in the Châtaigneraie . Vitrac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Mamet-la-Salvetat in the north, Marcolès in the south and east and Boisset in the west.
