Sansac-de-Marmiesse is located in the Massif Central , in the Châtaigneraie , about nine kilometers southwest of Aurillac , on the Cère . Sansac-de-Marmiesse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ytrac in the north and east, Roannes-Saint-Mary in the southeast and Saint-Mamet-la-Salvetat in the south and west.
